The ACT Spectacles Subsidy Scheme provides eligible ACT residents with a subsidy of up to $200 once every two years.

The scheme provides financial support to eligible ACT residents with the purchase of spectacles and enables eligible residents to enjoy the benefits of clear vision and good eye health. The Government has taken the initiative to team up with optometry services throughout the Territory, providing a range of eye-wear options and, more importantly, facilitating easy access for all eligible residents.

Eligible people for the scheme must be residents of the ACT and hold a Pensioner Concession Card from either Services Australia or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, or a Services Australia Health Care Card which the holder has been entitled to for three months or more.
