My sister has a brain tumor and is about to undergo her first round of radiation treatment. It will be six weeks, ten minutes a day. The radiologist told her to try to do a sauna prior to each radiation appointment. Anyone know what this does? He also advised her to reduce her daily food intake to just 500 calories of macadamia nuts. I wonder how she will withstand sauna on a starvation diet plus radiation.

Edit: I just looked up sauna + cancer and all the results seem to refer specifically to infrared.
