Objective The purpose of this study was to investigate the different characteristics of craniofacial morphology in skeletal Class II adults between deep and shallow antegonial notch in Taiwain. Material and Method The sample consisted of 124 adults with no previous orthodontic treatment who had skeletal Class II jaw relationship and whose lateral cephalograms were collected from the database at the orthodontic department of Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital. All subjects were aged beyond 20 years-old and were grouped into two categories according to the depth of antegonial notch. Deep antegonial notch group ( ND ) included all subjects with a notch depth of 3.0mm or greater, and the shallow notch group ( SN ) included a notch depth of 1.5mm or less.
