/ A mechanical ventilator
developed in the University of Costa Rica (UCR) to be used
for patients infected with CIVID-19, is tested in San Jose,
on April 2, 2020. Universities and investigations centers
in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador have
advanced on the creation of prototypes of artificial
ventilators, which if approved by sanitary authorities,
could be manufactured by private companies for local
hospitals in case of an explosion of the cases of the new
coronavirus.
