Hey folks

So I have a slightly deficient chin.

Id like to bring it forward to have it lineup with the rest of my face.

I have seen a maxillofacial surgeon and a plastic surgeon regarding my options.

I can do either the genioplasty or the chin implant.

The pros of the genioplasty seem to be as follows: - Less expensive (2000$ or more less than the chin implant)

- The procedure is done with your own bone, rather than an artificial implant

The pros of the implant:

- Less invasive

- Faster recovery time

- Less chance of permanent loss of sensation

I suppose what I am most on the fence about is whether having an artificial implant in my chin would ever present a problem down the line. Would I be better off with the genioplasty or the implant?
